My Inspiration for Edmund

        Edmund loosened his tie.  He laid it across the tie rack blankly staring at the wall in front of him. His bedroom suddenly seeming too large for one man.  It lacked his mate.  He closed his eyes and shook his head.  What had looked to be a quiet evening turned into a beautiful nightmare featuring the most exquisite creature he'd ever seen.  Hair the color of gold and eyes so blue they reminded him of an ocean.  And his body so lithe, graceful and slender with skin the color of honey made him want to claim him immediately.

       He groaned as his dick filled with blood.  Aroused by this stranger, his wolf growled surprised by his response.  He'd purposely isolated himself for years not wanting to partake of the cares of the world only bothering to do the barest essentials in caring for his land.  His people were not starving and peace abounded though not a joyful one but it was there nonetheless. He did not need this human coming here and rocking the status quo.   

     “My Lord,” Gudrun said entering his private chambers. “It seems our guest did not fancy our meal.”

      “Perhaps our food is too rich for his system.”

      “I'm not so certain of that,” Gudrun said while setting out his night clothes. “I've seen quite a few of them eat succulent meats with the thickest of cream sauces poured all over it.”

“Yes, but were any of them as frail looking as our guest?”

Chris rubbed his forehead. His anxiety was getting out of control again. His desire to keep his family close was overriding common sense.

You’ll see him at lunch like you always do.

It sounded great, but his gut wasn’t having any of it. It told him to get over to Nate’s office right now.

To hell with it. “I’m supposed to trust my heart? Then, okay, I will. Right now my heart and gut are telling me to go check on my husband.”

He hurried out of his office and went past his secretary without a word.

On to today's excerpt. If it's nearly complete you are probably wondering why there is no title. That's because I title my books once they are 100 percent done, complete, that's all she wrote folks done. Then I think of the story as a whole and craft a title from there. So until that happens...no title and is still a WIP to me. 

A little about this scene.  The Dom has just 'acquired' his two subs for the week.  He has been away from the lifestyle for a long time and hasn't had a full-time sub in years.

“Yes Sir,” they replied. 

He liked the sound of that Sir.  For years the word, Sir had many meanings in his life.  It was what he called his father on my many occasions, as evidence of their distant relationship.  It also stood for the gentry and peerage with whom his family associated along with the people he grew up with.  

Then there was its use as a term of respect and endearment from a sub to his Master. He preferred that usage.  It was intimate, loving and suggested a commitment that was more than just sex. The Dom has taken someone under his care.  And the submissive has willingly given him or herself to the Dom because they trust that the Dom will always have their best interests in the forefront of His mind. And once a sub was collared by a Dom, the bond between them became even stronger.  It was a sacred and should never be broken.  

At one point he had hoped he'd be able to collar someone again.  But allowing himself to feel that strongly about a man or woman was too dangerous. Cecily has showed him that.   

“For the duration of the contracted weekend you may address me as Sir around those in our social circles and as Ian if we are in town or in London.  If we do go to London, then you are my American friends here on holiday and I'm your host there to show you around," Ian said. “Do you understand and agree?”

“Yes Sir,” they replied.

Damian slowed his pace and looked into each cell making sure the right prisoner was still inside as he journeyed down the block.  As he made it to the last cell, the aroma was like a bouquet of flowers in a garden paradise.  The scent overwhelmed him making him heady.  He grabbed hold of the bars to keep from falling.  His heart pounded in his ears.  He growled as his desire to rip the bars off their hinges to claim the man behind them.
