Kathy Bosman is My Special Guest Today!

New Release – Dragonfly Moments

I write contemporary romance and am a sucker for happy endings. I cry in movies way too much and love writing about hesitant heroines who struggle to open up to love mostly because I was the same.

“Dragonfly Moments” is a book about treasuring the moments of today; it’s about reuniting with an old flame. The story is set in my birth country and the country where I now live – South Africa. I moved away for seven years but returned here. I was thrilled to find a publisher who wanted books from Africa! So I sent in a book to Decadent Publishing that had been rewritten and polished several times.

Dragonfly Moments was first called “Tessa’s Choice” and was a vastly different, badly written book, one of the first books I ever wrote. After learning some good tips from critique partners and fellow South African writers, I polished it up and sent it in. What a pleasure to work with Decadent who brought my book to a whole new level. I’ve certainly learned the importance of creating a rich setting and showing more of my character’s reactions, emotions and thought processes.

I loved many things about writing this book but most of all was the symbolism of the dragonflies. I’m not going to give it away yet – you have to read it to find out, but I love the way the concept tied the whole message of the book together. I also loved writing about art – Tessa is a landscape artist and opens her own art gallery. Although I’m not a professional artist, I dabbled in oil painting and sketching, especially in my teenage years and appreciate good art. I couldn’t resist writing about a heroine who owns her own art gallery.

Here is a blurb:

A young woman’s first love walks back into her life at the worst time possible—she is about to start a family with another man. But when her dreams begin to crumble, which one will be there to help her pick up the pieces?

Seven years earlier, Tessa Calitz wrote a letter to Ryan le Roux promising her undying love. As time passed, she forgot about that letter...but not Ryan, who clung to the hope that she would wait for him.

Such is not the case when he walks back into her life. Tessa is in a serious relationship, and is busy setting up her art gallery in Johannesburg. She has plans to start a family, and the arrival of Ryan into her life throws her for a spin.

He is the worst thing that could happen to her dream of stability and starting a family...or is he? Because when her relationship and everything she clung to starts to crumble, Ryan is right beside her to inspire her to greater things.

But her obsession for having her own child pushes Ryan away when she falls in love with an orphaned HIV-positive baby. Will Tessa push him away further or realize what her heart has longed for all along?

And an excerpt:

“You’re making a mistake, Ryan. Coming in here and trying to bring up the past. It’s too late now. I’m committed to Mark and have found a life for myself. You never wanted me then. You loved Annie.”

“I didn’t love her. I loved you. And you promised forever….”

His voice was resigned, and then he winked at her as if to dispel the tension. It did no such thing.

The letter at the back of the sketch had promised she would love him forever, hadn’t it? She had believed she would never love anyone as much as Ryan, and that he showed her what true love was.

“You never loved me.” She dropped her gaze onto her lap. “We were just good friends.”
Pushing up her chin to pretend that her heart wasn’t zinging with emotion, she rose up and walked toward the one wall to adjust a painting. He grabbed her hand. She tried to pull away, but he firmly pulled her close.

Heat and energy radiated off him, and his manly scent encompassed her. Even his breath was a sweetness she wanted to drink in. She took in the shape of his face—his mouth, which drooped slightly to the left, his skewed jaw line and the prominent cheek bones. His eyebrows were dark and perfectly shaped, and he had such long eyelashes. Yanking her burning hand away, she made sure her back was facing him.

“I was blind to the true treasure. All the time when I was going out with Annie, I really wanted you, but I couldn’t do that to her—dump her for her best friend. I’ve loved you for years, Tess. I’ve been trying to find you. No other woman has measured up, and I’ve had several relationships. And you’ve become so beautiful.”

She faced him, her mouth partially open, devoid of words. He’d loved her? Why didn’t he tell her then before it was too late?

His gaze followed her from head to foot, and heat branded her face while a spark ignited her body.

“But I wasn’t then. You thought I was ugly. You must have because Annie was so beautiful, and you never looked at me.”

“I did. Besides the kohl and black clothes, you were adorable, especially in your pajamas.”
Tessa wasn’t usually one to blush easily, but fire lapped up her whole face and neck. “But the way you used to look at Annie. She had the most stunning legs. Long and muscular.”

Ryan smiled. “You have better legs than Annie.”

She pulled back. For a moment, he had her in a trance. Maybe she should leave Mark and pursue this. Jump right in. No, of course not. Who was Ryan now, anyway? She hardly knew him. He could disappear. Mark cared for her, and he was the perfect match to build a family. That’s all she needed.

Sizzle In The Heat Wave by Taryn Kincaid

BLURB:

Sent into the human realm to retrieve prodigal princess, Zena Night, Bhyrne Raines is shocked and unprepared for his carnal reaction to the sexy succubus. In service to the succubus queen, the rugged enforcer must stifle the instant passion exploding within him. Fulfilling his royal duty doesn’t allow for quickie dalliances. His biological clock is ticking, and he begins to enter breedspawn, an intense and unstoppable frenzy of mating all fire-demon males must endure. But the more he wants to avoid Zena, the more he’s drawn to her.

Reluctant to give up her carefree life of partying among the mortals when the hot-as-sin Bhyrne comes to fetch her for the queen, Zena uses her succubus wiles to entice him, or at least delay the inevitable trip to the royal court. Once in the demon stronghold, hidden deep within the Catskill mountains, she learns the reason for the summons: she must choose a consort within two days.

Zena needs a mate. Bhyrne needs to mate. With time running out for both of them, they each turn to 1Night Stand. With time running out, can Madame Eve come to the rescue?

EXCERPT:

Holy freeze gun, Batman. The words died before she managed to expose them to air. Her mouth snapped shut.

One of the Queen’s guards stood before her, huge and tall, nearly twice the size of most of the other males in the joint, a hella hunka supernatural male. Clearly not human, although Hugo Boss’d to his Adam’s apple in an apparent bid to fit in among the humans trolling for hot sex, illicit drugs, watered-down booze and loud music. Beneath the fabric of the unstructured designer suit, the toned muscles of a demonic warrior rolled like tidal waves. Even without the small lapel pin the uninformed might mistake for the The Rolling Stones’ logo, she’d recognize him for a captain of the guard. Maybe the Queen’s own Captain.

Hellfire and cotton candy. Trouble. T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

But, by the goddess, whattahottie! Despite her certainty that his presence in the club corridor boded ill for her, the force of her sudden hunger shook her.

Like lightning.

Thunder.

A desperate bolt out of the blue.

Instant connection to him on the paranormal plane, as if he’d wrapped her aura in gold chains and tugged her to him. But did that fast lane to heaven run one way or two?

A grim expression straightened the lines of what otherwise might have been a generous, sensuous mouth. A military buzz cut had weed-whacked hair the color of iron. And it didn’t stop there. Without doubt, metal fortified every single cell in the massive male’s body, pure titanium flowing in his veins. The stern planes and angles of a hard-edged, swoon-worthy face set grimly as cement. Though he lounged in the hallway like any Archie or Jughead waiting in line to discharge his rented beer in a urinal, he exuded authority, his carriage and bearing such that he made the others look like a pack of Twizzlers. Oh. Yeah. More than a mere guardsman, she guessed. An enforcer.

Ruh-roh.

Falling For A Clone

Thank you so much, Clare for having me on your blog! It’s such a pleasure to be here.

Hello everyone! Today I’ve come to talk about Made For Her. In many of my other stories, I’ve dealt with the idea of falling in love with aliens. But Made For Her is the first story I wrote about a clone. In this story, Onatria Labs has been contracted by the government to create clones for the military, who are desperate for people to enlist. The clones are not considered human, but property of the military and trained then used as they see fit.

While there are anarchy groups who object to cloning, the government ploughs on. All is well until Colonel Mikayla Jones objects to a clone in her new squadron. She had no problem training them before, but none of them looked like her late husband.

Even after she refuses to train the new squadron, the clone of Daniel, Dare, seeks her out for extra training sessions, making it impossible for Mikayla to separate her heart from her job. But she has to. Not only is he below her rank, he is a clone. And she could never fall for a clone.

When writing this story, I reached inside my own feelings and beliefs to contemplate how I would react in Mikayla’s position. Because it’s not every day that we meet a clone of a loved one. I hope you enjoy this story!

Blurb:

After terrorists murder the love of her life, Colonel Mikayla Jones trains squadron after squadron of the clones he brought to life, to take to the skies. When she discovers a young clone of her husband in her newest class, her world spins out of control. How can she command the look-a-like when she can’t help but yearn for him to fill an ache in her heart?

Dare was created to be the best. As the first Daniel clone to leave Onatria labs, he needs to prove he is more than just a DNA copy. To do that, he must rely on the wife of the man who donated his genes. But when she refuses to train him, Dare faces discharge and returning to the labs. Can he convince Colonel Jones to finish his training and find a way into her bed? Or will long kept secrets unhinge the entire clone project?

Excerpt:

Colonel Jones eyed each one of her new cadets, examining the neatness of their uniforms, while inspecting for signs of stress or over-anxiousness. She’d never seen the telltale muscle twitches or sweats in any previous clones, only in human-borns, but she had to look for them anyway.

The first generation of clones didn’t live long enough to become cadets. Their hearts gave out within a year after incubation. But the scientists at Onatria had plowed on, utilizing more of Daniel’s research, speeding up the aging process with hormones to create the perfect generation she saw before her.

She’d had female clones in previous squadrons, but the government filled the one in front of her with testosterone-driven masculinity. If she’d been younger, she’d have a hard time concentrating. But her days of crushes and fantasies were long over. She was devoted to serving her country and planet, and nothing else.
That didn’t stop her from going out on the town for a stress-relieving fuck from time to time. But these young men in front of her appeared so virile, sure to last longer than any of her previous sexual partners.

No. As junior officers, and more importantly, as clones, they were off limits.

Inspecting them gave her the opportunity to check out more than their fatigues and tics, but if they knew her thoughts, they’d walk all over her. She’d be done.

They were of varying nationalities, builds, and heights, all fit to serve the planet. None of the cadets revealed any indication he would put the lives of others in jeopardy. This will be an easy squadron, every one of them ready to fly in a matter of weeks.

She reached the last cadet and froze. Her stomach clenched. No, they couldn’t have!
She pivoted on her heel and rushed off the tarmac, leaving the squad without an instructor.

Excerpt from Love’s Red Heart

“I wanted a few moments alone with you, Jill,” Michael said. Jill looked at him in surprise but his gaze remained fixed on the distance horizon. “I wanted to tell you that like Siobhan I have a smattering of cat genes, but mine are slightly different. Sure I have third eyelids that pop out under stress but mostly I can keep them under control.” He turned to face her and picked up her hand, holding it tight. “I’m blessed with the ability to sense wellness or illness. This makes me very good at my job and puts me ahead of many of my peers, most of whom are not g-altered like you and me.”

Jill held her tongue between her teeth, not wanting to break the spell. Never had anyone, other than James, taken her into his confidence like this man.

“I also wanted to tell you how attractive I find you. And you’re humming with good health too I might add.” His voice caught and he covered it with a chuckle. A heated blush rose up her neck flooding her face. She turned her head away, unable to help her reaction. Michael gently took her chin and slowly turned her face back towards his. “I think your hair is magnificent and your blushes are equally delightful. Why do you hide them? You should be proud of your genes, and blushes are a sign of modesty. Aren’t they?”

Tears filled her eyes and over flowed. She wondered if they changed colour as they ran down her cheeks. Two shocks within the hour. First Stella taking her through a jump to disappear behind a rainbow curtain, and now a man telling her she’s beautiful. Was he leading her on? Was this just a load of bullshit?

Excerpt-

Standing on the stairs, being carried downwards into the crowd, thinking of what was
left on her shopping list, she heard James voice in her ear. She felt her heart lift and skip a beat, then remembered his cold indifference for the past few months, his absolute silence in fact.

She held herself rigid wondering if she was imagining things.
“I’m right behind you,” he said. She started to turn. “No! Don’t turn around. Keep
looking straight ahead Siobhan. When you get to the bottom just step to the side and stand
still.”

She didn’t even nod in agreement. Her heart was thumping—was it excitement, or
fear, she wondered? Is he giving me instructions again? The thought crossed her mind
like an electric shock, as she realised that James must think they were being observed.
She stepped off the escalator, turned to the right and looked at him, ready to act
surprised if need be. She didn’t see him do anything, but once again the world stopped.
The escalator stopped moving, people stopped mid-stride, mid-speech, mid thought,
except for her and James.

“James!” she exclaimed “What a surprise. Well, a double surprise really,” waving her
arms around indication the frozen world around them. “How nice to see you,” she said
formally, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. He pecked her on the cheek and
murmuring a quick walk with me in her ear led her over to a nearby table at the edge of the Food Court area, weaving them both around the living, breathing, people statues, before gently guiding her down to a chair.

A Look At Freya's Spell by Kathleen Gallagher

My short erotic romance, Freya’s Spell takes place in the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. It’s the perfect place for a romance to blossom. Freya Meyer thinks she needs a spell to entice the man she desires, but Paul Marton has his reasons to want to avoid an involvement with a hot babe.

The majestic beauty of the National Forests surrounding the town of Bartlett, draws tourists during peak foliage season. My husband first took me on a trip to New Hampshire when we were dating. We’ve been back many times since. The area has some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. We stopped at a few of the covered bridges, which were known as courting bridges. The folklore of the area is great for story telling around the campsite. Midnight blue skies, the sounds of nature, and sizzling bonfires make the night magical.

Here’s a few pictures I took last October.

BLURB: FREYA’S SPELL

The passionate, sex-starved witch, Freya Meyer is tired of wasting time with unsatisfying lovers. She’s in search of a man who can keep up with her.  Prospects are slim in Bartlett, the sleepy little town in the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire.

A sultry stranger with a French accent behind the counter at the Country Store is new to town. Family commitment and an unsettled past leads Paul Marton back to his childhood roots. On the rebound from a scandalous romance, Paul tries to ignore Freya’s advances, and he doesn’t let on how he falls prey to her seductive ways.

When Paul ignores her advances, Freya knows what she must do. A love spell is bound to cast the shy stranger straight into her arms. With the help of the full moon, Freya’s wishes may come to fruition. Can a lonely witch capture one night with her dream lover… walk away, and never look back? Is there a way to tame a wild witch’s heart?

 EXCERPT

Freya watched Paul as he strutted down the stairs and slowly ran her tongue around her lips. One look at his broad shoulders and thick thighs made her mouth water. I can hardly stand it.

Paul returned from downstairs and she noticed his penetrating stare.
“Come upstairs to my place and I’ll pay you.”

“Thank you. Do you want me to bring the other items up there?”

“No, you can leave them here. I’ll take care of it” You’ll need all the energy you can get. Freya could sense his eyes follow her every move as she led the way. Happy she wore a thong, she escorted her dream man upstairs to her apartment.

Once inside, she closed the door and fastened the double lock. “Sit down for a minute while I get my wallet.”

Freya pointed to an upholstered, floral sofa, with red velvet throw pillows. Instead of a door, colored beads separated the living room from the bedroom.

“This place is great. I don’t recall it being here.”

“Thank you,” she responded. “It’s my little hideaway.”

“I’ve never seen it and I lived in town for years.” He ran his hand through his hair and smiled. “I’m back to help at my mother’s store.”

“Oh, I see. That’s why I never saw you before.”

Freya’s mind raced with visions of how he would look without a shirt. “I’ve been here a few years. There’s a little rooftop space for entertaining outside.”

“You did a great job of decorating in here.” He ran his hand over the luxurious velvet pillow. His gaze fixed on her. His legs spread sending shivers down her spine.

Freya felt the heat between her thighs. The sexual tension took over her entire body. “I’ll be right back.”

Summer Lovin' Blog Hop

There's something about hot nights and steamy days that bring out the sexy in all of us. Less clothes, suntans, holidays...what is it that you love about summer? Join us in our blog hop and blog about anything to do with summer. What are your best summer reads? What's your favorite thing about summer? Perhaps you have an excerpt that will get us all hot under the collar. Whatever it is you want to blog about, why don't you join us on our blog hop and have a bit of fun along the way!

The hop will run for 4 days until 8th August.

One of the best summers I had was on the beach of Lake Huron.  It had been a goal of mine to go there for some time and it did not disappoint.  Lake Huron is so huge, when on the lakeshore you can not see the land in this case Canada, on the the other side.  With the beautiful blue water and sky and the perfect breeze coming off the water, I felt like I was on a beach in California.  My friends and I spent only a weekend there but it was all I need to cool off from the hot and muggy heat that was south and west of us.

The entire time I was there, I kept thinking now I see why people love reading books while on the beach because it would have been a perfect place to settle in with my favorite romance novel!

So in honor of that, here's a selection for your summer reading.

Blurb--

A New Threat? After a long and vicious war, peace is on the horizon for Earth and its allies. However, a series of mysterious attacks on several secret military installations causes hostilities to rise once again.

Redemption. Having left under a cloud of disgrace, retired Marine Colonel Medoro Keegan is called back to duty.

Bound. His wife Caitlin, the only surviving member of her team, chooses to embrace life, albeit grudgingly, as a cryo soldier. Seen as sub-human, she is forced to serve a planet that denies her rights as a person.

Driven. Guided by their sense of duty and belief that some things are bigger than them, they are determined to risk it all.

Hope. The cost of war is high. Can their love and marriage survive? Or will it be killed off by the very same mission that brought them together?

An Excerpt--

Caitlin was a sight for sore eyes. She was beautiful. Her petite frame was perfectly accented by the curves of her figure. And her brown eyes and coffee-brown skin was smooth, creamy.

Standing at attention, she did not meet his gaze. Though it was customary not to do as a sign of military courtesy, he could tell she was not doing it for that reason. Her gaze was different. Circling her, he tried to see if he could catch her watching him out of the corner of her eye. In fact, she appeared to be staring blankly ahead.

Peering directly at her, he spoke in a soft tone. “At ease.”

She relaxed.

“Cate. Can you hear me?”

“Yes, sir,” she responded mechanically.

Pain pierced his insides. She was definitely not there. Keegan placed his hands on his hips and hung his head in defeat. The one thing that was supposed to go right did not. For whatever reason, they had placed her in a deeper state of mental control than she’d ever been in. He controlled the hostile emotions brewing with him. Touching her face gently, he felt her icy skin.

This is unacceptable! Not here. I will not let this happen here. Not under my command.

“Chief, listen up,” he said in an authoritative tone. He knew in this state, it was the only way he could speak to her and still have her respond.

“Yes, sir.” Her gaze became even more distant.

Her response fueled his anger. “You are going to hightail it down to the doc and receive a full examination. Tell him it is based on my orders. He will know what to do. Is that clear?”

“Yes, sir.”

Knowing that she was under the influence of cryo neurotransmitters, Keegan figured the only way to combat it was to get someone to reverse it. They usually wore off once she was away from the stimulus triggers for a long period of time. But considering her stimulus triggers were high-ranking officers in uniform and combat situations, being around here meant she was going to be in a drone zone for a very long time. The last thing he needed was a zombie on board, especially one in charge of the lives others.

Only the jerks in psyche warfare thought doing this to someone would be a good idea. As long as he was running the ship, none of that would be allowed. There weren’t going to be any super zombies soldiers on board his ship. And he’d rollover in his grave before he let them do it to his wife.

“After you come back from the doc, you will report to me, understood?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Are there any questions?”

“No, sir.”

“Dismissed.”

She did an about face before leaving the room. Keegan clasped his hands behind his back. In the blink of an eye, his joy had turned to sorrow. Now faced with the responsibility of looking after his wife, he wondered how could he handle the burden of command and still protect the woman he loved.

BLURB FOR ‘A TALENT FOR LOVING’

Talents come in many guises.

William and Belinda, two genetically altered individuals meet years after leaving the government-rearing nursery for genetically altered infants. Their late development allowed them to escape a life devoted to the government's defence departments. If their skills are now discovered they are in danger of conscription by the government.

William, whose talent is to move through space between locations in the blink of an eye, has devoted his life to protecting other ex-nursery adults. Belinda occasionally uses her talent, lifting objects of great weight with her thoughts. Their meeting leads to love and a raft of problems both struggle to overcome.

Can they trust each other enough to allow love to bloom? Can they risk the renewed attention of the Defence Department?

A Talent for Loving explores an alternate reality and discovers the one talent neither Belinda nor William can control - love.

Excerpt

There it was again.

That tickling on the edge of her safety net. She always put her confusion barrier up when in the city.  Anyone wanting to approach her would be stifled at five paces away, their decision to approach would waver and hopefully they would give up their effort.  Any other pedestrian, not concerned or not noticing her would walk right on through it.  It was a handy device that kept her safe and a secret she shared that put her mother’s mind at rest.

Besides, you never knew when someone from the ‘Nursery’ might be checking up on your life.  Cursed people.  Thank God she’d escaped, been adopted by loving indulgent parents and was managing to live her life to the fullest

The sensation tickled her back again and she stopped mid-stride, turned and looked down the street.  There he was again, the same young man who’d stared at her in the supermarket the other day while she’d been shopping with her mother. He had to be about her own age - too young to be a government agent. What did he want from her?  Probably some creep who stalked people, unless it was a co-incidence? Could he be g-altered too?

Did he recognise her from the Nursery?  The children had mixed socially when they were growing up until the magic age of seven. Any friendships formed were then split asunder as some stayed, some were adopted and some seemed to vanish overnight. His face didn’t ring any bells in her memory. Had he been adopted as well? To be out in the world he must have. Those ‘conscripted’ didn’t enjoy the luxury of free will.

She ran her gaze slowly over him, taking in his tall frame, broad shoulders and thick, dark hair.  He met her gaze with equal interest before she turned and walked on. She could feel his indecision prickling again behind her. If he really wanted to talk to her then her confusion barrier would be stopping him.  A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. She could feel his puzzled thoughts bouncing off her barrier, as other pedestrians streamed past close to her and wove between them. No doubt he couldn’t work out how they could get close to her and he couldn’t.

She wondered if he’d work out how break through the barrier. No one else had so far. It wasn’t that she was against men or found the opposite sex unattractive. It was simply a matter of safety first. On reaching the corner she took the steps into the train station at a run, glad to be out of the wind and stopped to read the digital notice board’s moving message.  There was a ten minute wait till her next train on Platform three. Should she get a coffee to sip on the train?  She checked her barrier, no tickling, no irritation. He must have given up, or moved away.  Pity, obviously no stickability. He’d looked rather nice too. Ah well, he might try again and she just might let him approach next time.

Love's Bright Star by Virginnia De Parte- Her Inspiration for the Series

Inspiration for the story.

Love’s Bright Star started with the idea of a woman with cat genes meeting up with a man who could stop time. My challenge was to create an incident where James needed to stop time, and from there I had to decide how to build his romance with Siobhan from this initial meeting, to a satisfactory conclusion. It is a romance!

This is my first book in the series about the genetically-altered Corban family. Set in the future I was able to decide how these people came to be genetically altered and their lifestyle as a result of their genes. While writing it other characters poked their heads up over the parapets and became part of the romance.

Although the first in the series, it is a stand-alone story

Love’s Red Heart is the romance between James’ sister Jill, who has chameleon genes and Dr. Michael Scott, who features in the last chapter of Love’s Bright Star. This time I wanted to have something a little different as a point of dispute between the couple. Being a New Zealander I gave Dr. Scott a dash of Maori genes. I researched the wildlife and trees of the Red Desert of Australia and combined some of the spirits of the Aborigine Dreamtime period to weave into this romance. I have been to Alice Springs and Uluru and fell in love with this spiritual place. I tried to transfer some of my love of the Red Desert into this novella.

A Talent for Loving is the third in the series, again a stand-alone story and is the prequel to the other two. It’s the romance of James’ parents, their childhood background, adoption and eventual meeting. Set in Melbourne, Australia, it follows these two ‘rejects’ from the initial breeding programme, the development of their talents and their struggle to live anonymously within society. Creating this story allowed me to develop the background to the creation of these genetically altered people, and the reason they live “under the radar” in society.

I’m currently writing the fourth in the series, the romance of Stella Corban. The more I write, the more I discover delightful and interesting characters emerging, demanding to be heard in a story of their own.  I’m not sure where I’ll go after Stella’s romance. I have so many choices.

Here are some quick blurbs about the books!

Love's Bright Star  by Virginnia De Parte

A romance, fraught with heart stopping moments, and time stopping episodes.

Siobhan, a professional photographer with cat genes, is rescued from a night club attack by James, a University Lecturer, who can stop time.

Set in the future these two genetically altered people fall in love. Against James’ wishes Siobhan becomes pregnant.

Their relationship topples and during a scan the baby disappears from the screen, alerting the Defense Department of her possible talent. James and Siobhan, when interviewed, separately convince the Agents their relationship is over, but can Siobhan forgive James his continued absence, broken only when he stops time to talk to her at a city Mall?

Determined to rear her child alone Siobhan and her friend Anna prepare for the birth.

Can James return in time to save the child, Stella, from her own talents, which will put Siobhan and he, and their future together in jeopardy?

And Don't Forget To Pick Up:

Love's Red Heart

In the near future genetically altered individuals live among the wider population, not always trusted, wanted or even accepted. Jill Corban, a nurse from a  g-altered family is  looking for ways to control her chameleon genes. A vacation in to visit her family teaches her these skills and a meeting with Dr. Michael Scott offers her a chance at the kind of love she’s given up hope of ever finding.

Their romance takes a dusty trip through the heartland of Australia, blending tales of the Dream Time with adventure. Is their attraction to each other strong enough to survive the challenges of prejudice, a time stopping rescue, and challenges to Michael’s research programme?

Can their desire survive these events and grow into love?

Discover the beauty of the Red Desert and how the power of love can change a life, for Love’s Red Heart beats within us all.

And

A Talent for Loving
