#MidWeekTease This Sexy Human Has Turned His World Upside Down #MM #Shifter #RomanceNovel

Hi everyone welcome to my #MidweekTease.  Today's excerpt is from my untitled WIP.  It's an M/M erotic shifter romance.  The snippet for today features our hero Edmund and he is upset that this stranger that he has just met is about to turn his carefully organized life upside down.  If you would like to read another excerpt from this story go here

Enjoy....
My Inspiration for Edmund

Edmund loosened his tie.  He laid it across the tie rack blankly staring at the wall in front of him. His bedroom suddenly seeming too large for one man.  It lacked his mate.  He closed his eyes and shook his head.  What had looked to be a quiet evening turned into a beautiful nightmare featuring the most exquisite creature he'd ever seen.  Hair the color of gold and eyes so blue they reminded him of an ocean.  And his body so lithe, graceful and slender with skin the color of honey made him want to claim him immediately.

He groaned as his dick filled with blood.  Aroused by this stranger, his wolf growled surprised by his response.  He'd purposely isolated himself for years not wanting to partake of the cares of the world only bothering to do the barest essentials in caring for his land.  His people were not starving and peace abounded though not a joyful one but it was there nonetheless. He did not need this human coming here and rocking the status quo.

“My Lord,” Gudrun said entering his private chambers. “It seems our guest did not fancy our meal.”

“Perhaps our food is too rich for his system.”

“I'm not so certain of that,” Gudrun said while setting out his night clothes. “I've seen quite a few of them eat succulent meats with the thickest of cream sauces poured all over it.”

“Yes, but were any of them as frail looking as our guest?”

#WIPItUpWednesday-No Reasonable Shifter Would Fight An Attraction To Their Mate #Shifter #RomanceNovel

Hi Everybody! Happy Wednesday to you all. The week is halfway through and I think you deserve a bit of fun to get you to the weekend.

Today I have an excerpt from my untitled awolf shifter fic. The pic below is my inspiration for the beta male of the pack who is also the mate to the alpha- he just like his alpha, has just been thrown a curve ball he was not ready for!

Trying to fight his attraction to Josette seemed wrong.  Hell even abnormal. After all what reasonable person would fight an attraction to their mate.  He closed his eyes and shook his heads. Humans didn't have mates.  They had husbands and wives.  Werewolves had mates.

There I go trying to break my rule again.

His inner wolf scratched at his heart, buffeting his emotions into a mass of confusion. He inhaled again, taking in her scent.  Heady, he almost needed to sit.

She is your mate, his wolf said.

No. I won't. I saw what Zayger went through.  I'm not going to let that happen to me and I'm sure as hell ain't gonna let that happen to him again!

Frustrated at his unwillingness to comply his wolf howled.  He growled forcing it quiet.

#SexySnippets-The Desire He Felt Was Almost Primal- #MM #RomanceNovel #Mpreg

Welcome to Sexy Snippet Sunday!

Today's snippet is from my untitled, WIP, m/m, alternative universe, contemporary-ish, wolf shifter romance.

We meet our main characters, Edmund and Jaime during dinner as Edmund is coming to terms with his attraction for his guest.  It's a bit longer than seven sentences but I don't think you'll mind.

My Muse's Inspiration for Edmund

Edmund's wolf growled and squirmed inside of him. It recognized his mate, just as he did when he first caught the scent of Jaime. The desire he felt for the slender young man was almost primal.  But how could he mate with some as delicate with Jaime? One night with him and he might break.  Then there was the little problem that human was probably not interested in him or shifters in general. After the great war, humans were taught to hate them. And if they did manage to mate there was no way Jaime would be able to safely carry a child.

He watched as Jaime hungrily ate his food.  He made sure Gudrun had prepared something more palatable for human taste such as eggs, toast, and ham that had been curing in the smokehouse.  As Jaime ate and drank the Dewberry juice, he seemed to regain a healthy pallor. Nevertheless, the hurt behind Jaime's eyes remained. He wanted to heal that pain and make the person who gave it to him pay for hurting his mate.

#MFRWAuthor- One Amazing Pic Can Inspire A Hot Shifter Romance #52WeekChallenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog.  I'm having a lot of fun participating in this blog hop with my fellow #MFRW authors and I hope you are enjoying our posts.

This week's topic is "Story Inspiration."

A lot of authors say they get inspiration for their stories from friends, family and things they've heard or experienced in their life. In a way that's true for me but mostly I'm a visual kind of girl.

What does that mean? Well I tend to be inspired by things I see like pictures or scenes from catalogs or calendars and stuff like that.  But mostly pics.

Be it a photo of a beautiful countryside or a graphic or gif of a holiday scene or seasonal picture like the one below:

Or a pic of a sexy model-

...If it catches my eye, a story will form in my mind and the and next thing I know I'm laying to down the framework for my next book.

Not very glamorous but then again neither is the actual writing process.  For example, the photo of this wolf (see pic below) inspired me to write my first MF, paranormal, contemporary erotic shifter romance.

The fierce nobility that this wolf exudes and the intelligence behind that piercing stare spoke to me. I could see the son of the alpha looking at the antics of his brother.  I imagined him taking it all in yet silently obeying and staying loyal to his pack.

Yes, this beautiful wolf was the inspiration for Callum Blake, the main character and hero in my book Wolf's Blade.

Whenever I was at a loss for words, all I had to do was look at the pic and the Callum came back to life.

In the immortal words of Col. John "Hannibal" Smith from the incredible action packed 1980's tv show the A-Team- "I love it when a plan comes together."

When inspiration meets creativity- the resulting synergy is amazing.

Excerpt:

“No way.” Allyse clutched the invitation in her hand and stood at the closed gates of the Rochester estate. She waved the email at the stylish woman with the clipboard standing in front of her.

“This was supposed to be for a behind the scenes job on the show, not for a close up on camera looking for a husband.”

“I understand, dear, but if you’ll get back in line with the others, we’ll get all of this sorted out in a few minutes, okay?”

“Others?” Allyse’s stomach sank. This was so not going how she’d planned.

“Other contestants. Everything will be explained shortly. Now, if you’ll just get in line?” The woman’s voice drifted off in a distracted hollow tone, her attention taken up by a large catering truck approaching the gate.

“You need to go around back. This is for guests only.” She jabbed her finger at the driver’s window and Allyse stopped listening.

Allyse gritted her teeth and made her way over to the group of six women who, like her, waited for direction. She didn’t miss the behind the hand comments and slant-eyed stares. Her curvy form seemed to invite them. Today, she’d worn a new black and white floral top and soft flowing black slacks with new strappy black heels. Her long, dark hair was twisted into a loose updo with tendrils of curls fluttering down the sides of her face. She’d even splurged on a new tube of lipstick she couldn’t really afford, but it was important to make the right impression with the people who mattered.

Out of the corner of her eye, Allyse spotted a camera crew filming them from afar and her stomach did a funny little flip. She turned her head and recognized the hostess for the show standing next to the coordinator and swallowed the lump that had grown in her throat. She’d helped behind the scenes on a few shows, but never had she even considered herself a candidate for the hand of a man she didn’t even know. It was, in her opinion, ludicrous to think you could meet someone and know, in a date or two, if there was chemistry enough to warrant a lifetime commitment. How awkward would it be to tell someone oh hey, I sort of forgot to tell you I’m a witch that can sniff out car keys like a prized spaniel and oh, by the way, if you ever want your roses to grow, just pass me the word and I’ll make sure they get the memo.

Besides, she never aspired to being married. No one had ever really made her think of it. For her, marriage meant forever, and she didn’t abide by the modern sensibility that you could dump someone like you changed your socks. The only man in her life was Mr. Stinky, an irritable little Chihuahua who’d claimed her heart long ago. She was happy. He didn’t hassle her about her curves or needle her about hogging the bed. Nope. He was a perfect little pouty faced angel and she was mad for him.

He was pissed as hell at her right now, too. Leaving him with her mother wasn’t normally an issue, but the little guy had taken one look at her luggage and given her such an evil glare she still had the scorch marks. He’d gone right up to the top of the stairs, staring down at her like an angry gargoyle.
All she had to do was get through the next few days, collect her check and hope it was enough to help put a dent in her mom’s doctor bills. It made her sick to think of how little insurance actually covered. She had to do something to help make ends meet and work she would. It was late afternoon and, from what the email said, they should be entering the property to get settled.

The hostess walked away from the film crew and joined the other women.

“Attention, ladies. If you could all join me here at the gates, we’ll get started.”

STORY EXCERPT:

She’d better get back now. Her shift at the cookhouse started later tonight and she had chores to do before then. She turned to set off and found herself surrounded by four huge black wolves.

How did they get there? I’ve never been taken unawares before. I can’t fight four of them, and they are depute law-keepers, so no point in trying to charm them. They are bi-sexual, but they can’t mate with females unless they become the LawKeeper. I wonder which territory they are from. How did I manage to stray so far?

One of them advanced toward her slowly, and then he gave the “yip” that meant “submit.” She had no choice. She couldn’t outrun them, so she dropped to her haunches and waited.

He advanced toward her, circled her, sniffing her fur, and then he nipped her right ear twice,"Shift."

When she’d shifted into human form, the four did the same. She drew in a breath. Four tall, bronzed males stood before her. They were just like the depute law-keepers in her settlement. Wide, muscled chests, narrow hips, powerful thighs, and so well endowed. She lowered her eyes. It wasn’t polite to stare at a man’s private parts, but that had never stopped her and her friends from glancing and speculating.

“What are you doing in our territory, little one?” he asked.

He towered over her. Six feet, eleven inches of delicious male flesh.

Down, girl. He’s a depute law-keeper. One of those four is his mate. He’s not interested in me in that way. I suppose the gift of bi-sexuality and those gorgeous bodies are some compensation for the renunciation of home and family. It doesn’t stop me looking and longing, though. Auntie May’s right. I need a mate and soon.

“Who are you? I didn’t know it was your territory.” Attack is the best form of defence, after all.
“I’ll ask the questions, and, if I’m satisfied with your answers, I may well give you the information you want.”

Typical, arrogant depute law-keepers. This lot was just like the ones in Brora.

“My name is Morag of Brora.”

“My, my, you are far from home. Are there no rules in Brora about lone females straying so far from your home settlement?”

Sarcastic depute law-keeper. He knows damn well that there are. The Goddess gave the same rules to all four packs, after all.

She thought about lying, but somehow she didn’t think that would be a good idea. So she fell back on what usually worked with the depute law-keepers in Brora.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” she said in her best girly voice. "I was so carried away by the spring and the beautiful wood that I just ran and ran without thinking.”

Let’s see if that gets me anywhere.

“Did you now? Were you going anywhere in particular, or do you make a habit of this?”

“Oh no! I’m usually a good girl, but it’s spring and I needed the exercise.” She stretched and wiggled her arse, then giggled to herself. Waste of time, but it was worth a try.

“Well, Morag of Brora, there are penalties for trespassing on our lands. Come with us!”

“But, sir, I have a shift in the cookhouse tonight, and my chores to do first,” she pleaded in a breathy little voice.

“You should have thought about that earlier and returned to your settlement.”

No cajoling this one.

“Yes, I know I was very foolish, sir. I won’t do it again, but it’s spring. After all that snow we had this winter, I was just aching to run the fidgets out of my hide. Don’t you ever get that urge?” she asked, dimpling up at him.

There was a snort of laughter from the other three.

“It seems we have a handful here!” one of them said.

“This one is tying you up in knots, Alex. What say we take her to DunBrodie and let the Darach deal with her? It will be amusing to see her try her tricks on him,” another suggested.

Morag pouted and flounced, but it did no good. She was obliged to shift. Then the four of them, Alex in front, another behind, and the other two on either side of her, herded her through the beech woods and up into the mountains. They followed a narrow, tortuous track. Although they were forced to go in single file, there was no opportunity for her to escape. The sheer rock on one side and the steep drop on the other took care of that. She was left with no option but to keep moving forward, receiving the occasional encouraging nip if she slowed.

When they reached the settlement, the layout was exactly the same as DunBrora, so she knew where the Darach would be.

This is going to take forever, and Auntie May is going to have my hide if I’m late. This stuffy old man is going to be slower than a snail. I bet he’s on his last legs. He’s going to want to know all about me, and I don’t have the time. How am I going to get out of this?

ADULT EXCERPT

“Because I’m your mate and I can read your emotions.”

Auntie May told me this would happen when I found my mate, but boy is it inconvenient.

“Does it work both ways?" She inquired, striving for a nonchalant tone.

“Oh, yes, of course it does. You just have to get used to it. Look at me and tell me what I’m feeling.”

She looked into his eyes and felt the colour flood her face, again.

“Oh,” she breathed.

“Just so. I’m well pleased with my mate, our love-making, and I’m aching to take you again. Did I say I love the way you colour up?”

She swatted him playfully, and he caught her arm, swinging her round into his embrace.

“Careful, little one. I’m horny and if you get too playful, I shall find a quiet spot and demonstrate what else I can do,” he warned her.

She felt excitement flood her body and she shivered in anticipation. Her legs trembled, but she took long, deep breaths to calm herself. This will never do. He’s not getting it all his own way, if I have anything to do with it.

“Will you now? Well, we’d better get along and bathe. It’s time for the pack run, soon,” she said. Why on earth did I say that?

“Oh, I know that, little one.”

She tossed her head, flicked her hair back over her shoulders, and stalked ahead of him. She heard his amused chuckle, and she vowed he’d pay.

When they reached the bath-house, the black wolf shifted to human form, fully intending, it seemed, to watch over his Darach. Balvaird smiled at the woman in charge and whispered in her ear. She directed a startled glance in Morag’s direction, but she said nothing.

What’s he plotting now?

She soon found out. The woman attendant led them to an area of the bath-house that Morag had never visited. There were cubicles with large tubs and curtains to ensure privacy. Morag’s eyes grew round. Balvaird selected one and stood back to allow Morag to precede him. He followed her in and, nodding to his depute law-keeper who remained outside, drew the curtain across the entrance.

He turned on the taps and then, taking off his clothes, placed them on the bench. He leaned over to test the water. He displayed a muscular backside and round, heavy balls as he bent much further over than was necessary, in her opinion. She sucked in a breath and ground her teeth.

He’s messing with me. Drat him. I’ll give him some of his own medicine.

Balvaird settled in the bath and watched her. He looked supremely at his ease with a satisfied smirk on his face. She’d soon change that. Slowly, she started to undo the buttons on her shirt, starting to pull it off, but then stopped. Changing her mind, she pretended to arrange her towel on the bench and look for a peg on which to hang her clothes. Finding none, she’d be obliged to fold them, and a wicked thought occurred to her.

She turned her back on Balvaird. As she slowly pushed her skirt down over her hips, she removed her knickers stepping daintily out of them both. Letting fall her skirt and knickers, she bent from the waist to pick them up and heard Balvaird draw in a breath. She well knew what was on display to tempt him. She folded her skirt and placed it on the bench, and then she repeated the pantomime with her knickers. She heard him growl a warning.

“Be careful what you are about, little one.”

She shrugged her shoulders, turned toward him, and oh so slowly removed her blouse. She folded it and placed it on the bench with her skirt and knickers. She turned to face him and stretched her arms way above her head. Before she realized what he was about, he’d leaped out of the bath and seized her. He threw her over his shoulder and returned to the water, allowing her to slide down his length as he stood in the hot, soapy suds. As she slid down his lean, wet body, she met his cock, which was fully erect, and she gasped.

“Now you’re going to relieve the pain you’ve caused,” he said gruffly.

He turned her and placed her on her knees in the water. She grasped the sides of the tub. He knelt behind her, his cock demanding entrance, but he wasn’t quite ready. He bent over and bit her shoulder. He found her breasts with his hands, and pinching, pulling, and tweaking, he drove her so wild that she pushed her hips into him and he chuckled.

“Teasing is a two-edged sword, as you are about to find out, little one.”

He grasped her hips and pushed his cock between her swollen pussy lips. She was wet and slick, and he entered her easily. She felt so full. When he withdrew, his dick slid over some part of her and the sensation of pleasure was heightened.

A few questions for the author

Q: How did you come to write this story?

A: I was talking to Sage Marlowe about wolf shifters when the idea for this series came to me. I sat down to plot it, and then it took over and I began to write.

Q: What do you like most about the new series?

A: I have read a lot of Sci-fi and Fantasy, and I loved creating the new world. I had a lot of fun thinking about the characters and their roles, and researching the names.

Q: Why do you have a new pen name?

A: This is a new genre for me, unlike most of my other books, so I decided it would be appropriate to let Flora McGregor do the writing. She will handle the Highland Wolves Series, but Clair de Lune will carry on writing.

Prometheus in Chains will soon have another story, and Angel in Hell has a second book, at present with Siren. Highland Wolves has a second story, also plotted.

Author bio:

I live in Dumfries and Galloway in Southern Scotland, although I was born in South Yorkshire. I spent many happy years teaching, and when I retired, I became bored with just the domestic routine. My youngest son challenged me to write a novel of my own, and I wrote Initiation, book one in the Prometheus in Chains series.

I don't think it was quite the sort of book he had in mind, but all my family have been very supportive and encouraged me to carry on writing. Writing has become an important part of my life. It’s been like a roller-coaster ride, and a very pleasurable one at that.

When I sent off my first book to Siren, I had no idea what I was setting in motion. I joined Facebook, something I never dreamed I’d do, but I have made many good friends on there, some readers and some fellow authors. Writing has certainly changed my life.

Paul Holton is the leader of the Racinitine Pack. Rising to his position from bloodline and destiny hadn’t been easy for the strong willed young man. Having sacrificed many of the things his kind long for in their reticent existence, Paul knew all he forfeited had been for the greater good.

Kinzey Sloane had been finding ways to get herself into trouble ever since she was a rambunctious young child. Now a reporter for the small press, The Grand Lake Gazette, she was determined to make a name for herself no matter what it costs.

When Paul crosses paths with the tenacious and gorgeous red head, Kinzey he knows he’s in trouble. Not only can he see the fire in her, but he can feel it as well. But when Kinzey gets too close to his secrets, he is faced with making a choice that could not only change his world, but the only life his pack has ever known.

Excerpt from Night Falls (Racinitine Pack 1) by Nicole Morgan

Paul Holton stared down at his opponent below. Sweat dripped from his forehead onto Zeke’s, sliding down the side and falling into the crease of the scar he’d caused when he and Zeke were just boys.

"Surrender," Paul ordered.

“Not a chance, brother.”

With a swift and abrupt movement, Zeke elbowed his big brother in the ribs and grinned when Paul released his hold in agony.

Getting on top of him, Zeke pinned him down and said, “You may be older, but you’ll never be faster.”

Paul’s eyes glinted with the glow of Amber, the color that only showed when his other side was trying to shift through.

With a burst of adrenaline and strength that he knew his little brother wouldn’t be able to overcome, Paul pushed Zeke off of him and several feet away.

He then got up from the dirt covered barn and stood over Zeke. “Faster yes, but never stronger, my brother.”

Paul held his hand out to help Zeke up, but the gesture was refused. Just like the sore loser he’d always been, Zeke pushed his hand away and stood up in what could only be described as a childlike huff.

“You cheated.”

Laughing, he asked, “How exactly did I cheat? And when did this become a competition?”

“You used your powers. I saw your eyes. And it’s always a competition.”

“Only because you say so, brother. But not everything has to be. And don’t think I didn’t notice your hair prickle and begin to lengthen when you were on top of me. If you’re going to pull the powers card, you might want to take a look at your own tactics first.”

Zeke glared at his brother. “Whatever.”

Shaking his head, he could do nothing more than chuckle. His little brother might be fast and one of the best fighters's the Racinitine Pack had ever seen, but he still had the temperament of a fifteen-year-old boy who didn't get his way.

“Are you two at it again?”

Both men turned to see Nova, their sister, and the middle child of the trio standing in the moonlit silhouette of the barn doors.

“Just a friendly workout, sis.”

“Friendly, my ass.” Zeke snapped.

“I guess I know who lost.” Nova teased.

“Shut up, Nova. You always side with him.”

“Maybe that’s because you’re always acting like a petulant child.” She replied.

“Alright you two, knock it off.” Paul walked toward his sister and kissed her on the cheek. “Why do you antagonize him?”

She shrugged. “Because it’s fun and because I can.”

“Well knock it off. You know what a sore loser he can be.”

"I heard that," Zeke muttered while brushing the dust off of his pants.

Rolling her eyes, Nova turned her attention toward Paul. “Everyone has gathered for the meeting. They’re out in the clearing.”

“Thanks, sis. Let’s head out there now.” He turned toward his little brother. “All of us.”

With a sarcastic smile, Zeke added, "Yes, let's all show up like one big happy family."

“I’m serious Zeke. We need to show a unified front. Our pack is depending on us to be the example here. Until we know what is going on none of us can show any signs of doubt or hesitation. Understood?”

His siblings nodded in agreement. Despite their disagreements, they all knew how dire their current situation was.

A few minutes later Paul and his siblings made it down to the clearing where their pack’s meeting place had been established generations earlier. Buried deep in the forest of Rocky Mountain National Park, no one but animals had ever crossed this desolate part of their land.

He took his place atop a large stone where many leaders before him had stood and turned to address the members of their pack.

“Good evening, everyone. Thank you for coming on such short notice. I realize that it’s not easy to sneak away from our normal existence but times are ominous and we need to discuss what has been happening.”

“Is it true that it might be one of us?” A male voice from the crowd called out causing a stir amongst the others.

“Now let’s not jump to any conclusions. There’s no reason to start a panic over this.”

“Start a panic? People are dying!”

Paul looked down at Ingrid, one of the older of their female pack members. She'd been a caregiver for him and his brother and sister when they were younger. It pained him to see her look so confused and scared as she looked up at him.

“Ingrid, I realize that. And I know you’re scared. As I’m sure many of you are. But I want everyone to know that we don’t know anything as of yet. The very little information we have is just that. Very little, far too little for us to draw any conclusion from. And I certainly do not think it was one of us.”

“So what are you saying, it was a real wolf? A bear?” She asked him.

“We simply don’t know. But I do know our kind. And none of us would ever hurt a human. Much less two innocent hikers. We’ve spent generations reigning in our powers so that very thing doesn’t happen.”

“I read the news reports. Those attacks didn’t come from any bear. If it wasn’t one of us it had to be a wolf.” Royce, another member of the pack shouted out from far back in the crowd.

Paul let out a sigh and placed his hands on his hips. He knew his pack wanted answers. And oh how he wished he could give them to him. But the fact of the matter was he had no idea who had killed those hikers two nights before. And as much as he hated to admit it, he wasn’t entirely sure it wasn’t one of them. Wolves had been rather dormant in their area for quite some time. The odds that it was an animal and not one of their pack were slim.

His duty was to his pack. He had to keep a level head. At the very least until he knew what was going on. It was his only option.

The knowledge that there may be a killer amongst them was a fear he didn’t care to voice.

Remembering Melaina by Maia Dylan- Two Shifters Are Being Kept From Their Mate-Not Good #MFM #Erotic #Paranormal #Ménage #Romance, #MFM, #shifters

Sometimes the only way to keep fighting and survive today, is to embrace the pain of yesterday and remember who you are.

Blurb:

Melaina Christakos was beginning to understand just how true that was.  She had always known her father was insane, hard not to when the man insisted on experimenting on her and the women she considered family.  But the depth of his madness becomes more apparent when she awakes in a hospital with no real memory of who she is and a light within that tells her not all is as it seems.

Kyle and Grant Snow are being kept from their mate, and both of them have retribution in mind. Melaina is in danger, and they need to get to her and will kill anyone who stands in their way.

Once they find her, can Kyle and Grant prove that their future together was more than worth the pain of remembering her past?

**erotic romance, ménage a trois, paranormal, shape-shifter, anal sex, double penetration**

STORY EXCERPT:

Kyle stood up and walked toward the cold beers they had left on the table. “As I said before we even started on this journey, no more running like a pussy and no letting our father take this from us. We need to make our peace with our past, and move on to our future.” Kyle popped the top of two cold beers and handed on to his brother.

Grant reached out and grabbed the bottle and met Kyle’s gaze over the bottle as they both still held it in their hand. “I swear to you, Kyle, I am in this a hundred percent on this one. I know you still doubt me, but wait until you are in the same room as her. I believe that we will experience the Quickening once we are close enough to her, and then you will know for sure.”

Rhys and Jase Wilson had announced just recently they had found their mate, Parris, but had not been struck with the Quickening in that first moment of meeting. Both of them had to practically bury their nose in the woman’s neck before they experienced it. Parris, Melaina, and another woman called Pepper had been given these drugs to enhance certain psychic talents, but it had a very strange side effect. It masked a person’s scent. The person who had fed the three women that cocktail was Aristos Christakos, and what was even more fucked up about this whole situation was that the prick was Melaina’s father. And that was the first of what Kyle hoped would be many things they had in common. Both their fathers would never have won any father of the year awards.

A knock at the door to their motel room had them both tensing. Kyle spun around toward the entry and placed his barely touched beer on the dining table against the wall. He shared a quick look with his brother and knew that neither of them had heard anyone approaching. This was unusual given their enhanced hearing and left him unnerved. He lifted his head slightly and scented the air. There was nothing on the air to tell him who stood behind the door and his heart began to beat a little faster.

“Take the left,” Kyle sent to his brother down their familial link before he stood to the right of the front door, carefully lifting the curtain on the window beside it to see who stood at the door. He was surprised to see that the light just in front of their door had been extinguished. The figure stood in the darkened doorway wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and their shoulders hunched. Although it was difficult to make out who it was, the figure was slight.

“Is it her?” Grant’s anxiety was evident in his voice.

Kyle didn’t take the time to answer because he had a very strong feeling that it was, and he didn’t want her out in the open any longer than necessary. He opened the door as quickly and quietly as he could, with the intention of waving the person into the room with little or no hesitation. He needn’t have worried, for as soon as the door was open the figure slipped in the slight gap and moved to the far wall, placing them out of view of anyone who happened to have been watching the door.

Kyle closed the door and then moved to stand in front of it with his arms crossed over his chest. If this wasn’t the elusive Melaina Christakos, then he and Grant were destined to have separate mates. Although this person’s scent was subtle, as they moved past her he caught a slight hint of spice that had his blood running hot and his dick filling fast.

Not taking his eyes off the newcomer, he spoke to Grant down their link. “Did you catch that scent?”

“Yeah, I did. It’s the second time I’ve caught a slight trace of it, and I have to tell you, my physical reaction is exactly the same.”

“Didn’t your mother ever teach you that it’s rude to talk about someone when they’re standing in the room with you?”

Her voice was liquid sex as far as Kyle was concerned, filled with a sensual heat that had him wanting to close his eyes and groan. He fought the urge though as she lifted her hands to push back the hood of her sweatshirt, as more and more of her was revealed he knew he wouldn’t have missed this moment for the world. She had long, thick black hair. There was a slight curl to it, and made a man want to sink his hands right in, and pull her closer. She had startling blue eyes that reminded Kyle of her sister Xanthe’s, and to top it all off, she had full lips that simply begged to be kissed.

ADULT EXCERPT

“The hottest damn thing in the world,” Kyle murmured as he reached around her to slide her sweatshirt from her shoulders, “is knowing that a woman plugs herself for her men. Do you fuck yourself with the plug, honey? Do you drag it in and out of your hot, tight ass and think about what it will feel like when it’s my cock? Or Grant’s?”

Melaina’s heart pounded so hard, she wondered if it was at all possible for it to actually burst from her chest. “Yes, yes I did.”

Both men growled at her admission and a spark of feminine power the likes of which she had never experienced before ignited through her system.

“I-I’ve been thinking a lot about the two of you, watching you both from afar.”

Kyle hummed close to her ear and she trembled as his chest rumbled against her back. “Although I am not too crazy about the fact that you were out there, just looking at us, and not coming over and letting us take care of you, I have to admit, knowing you’ve been watching so closely, certainly turns me the fuck on.”

Kyle rolled his hips against her ass and Melaina felt the hard edge of his cock rub against her.
Grant stepped back slightly and removed the black tank top she wore beneath her sweatshirt. Once the shirt was off, Kyle gently pulled her hair back off her back. Then he reached for the tie she had used to secure it in a ponytail and released her hair. She closed her eyes as he used his fingers to comb through it, loving how gentle he was.

Kyle sighed a happy and contented sound that had Melaina smiling. “This hair is so damn beautiful, black with just a hint of midnight blue. It catches the light and moves like it’s actually fluid.”

Grant reached for the front snap of her bra and released it before sliding the straps off her shoulders.
“Well, shit, would you look at that? The most perfect woman in the world for us and of course she would have the most perfect pair of breasts I have ever seen.”

He gently gripped her by the shoulders and turned her toward Kyle, and Melaina was quickly learning that she loved being the center of attention for them both. It made her entire body heat in the most delicious way.

“Wouldn’t you agree, brother?”

Kyle bit his bottom lip and growled low before lifting his gaze to hers. His eyes shimmered with heat, and his salacious grin was contagious and she couldn’t help but grin back.

“Most definitely. But I want to see the whole delicious package.” He reached out, his gaze never leaving hers, gripped the waistband of her jeans at both her hips, and gently pulled them down, sliding them down her legs until he knelt before her, all the while holding her gaze with his.

Grant let out a low whistle. “Hot. So fucking hot.”

He pressed a finger against the base of the plug she wore and all remnants of the doubts she’d had about the damn thing evaporated beneath the sparks of pleasure that ignited within her. She stepped out of her jeans and shoes, then stood breathlessly waiting for what came next.

Kyle’s gaze dropped and he moaned. “Fuck me. You don’t wear panties? Christ, I may never let you leave a room without fucking you on the closest flat surface again. And, baby, I love that you keep your pussy bare. It means that you were completely open to us.”

Grant reached around to cup her bare breasts and Melaina moaned as he rubbed her nipples between his thumb and forefinger. A jolt of lightning zinged into her pussy at the move and her hips shot forward of their own accord.

“Kyle’s gonna make you feel really good, Mel, and I’m going to hold you hard against my chest. I want to feel every shudder, every shiver of pleasure you feel when you come for us. You had better not bite back any of those sexy sounds you make. I want to hear every last gasp.”

Grant leaned in and bit gently into the soft flesh of her shoulder and Melaina inhaled sharply, only to cry out as Kyle opened his mouth against her pussy. She shuddered when Kyle used his tongue against her engorged clit and her orgasm began to build within her, larger than she had ever experienced at her own hand, and she sure as hell had never come with a man before.

With a few short strokes of his tongue, Kyle had her approaching her orgasm at a million miles an hour. Desperately she tried to halt it, not wanting the feeling and the attention to end, but then, almost as if it were planned, Grant pinched and tugged her nipples, adding a slight bit to her pleasure as Kyle gently bit down on her clit. And that was it.

Screaming her joy to the world, she tumbled into pleasure, clinging to the two men who had driven her to such dizzying heights and who had no idea this was all a part of her plan.

Five questions for the author

Q: Every book is special to an author.  What is it about this book that makes it special for you?

A:  I have been waiting for Melaina’s story for a long time now, ever since she wandered into Xanthe’s story and caught the eye of Deputy Sheriff Grant Snow. Now I had the chance to finish the story and that means Kyle and Grant can stop pestering me for their happily ever after!

Q:  Sometimes things happen when you are writing a series that wasn’t expected at all.  Have you had this happen to you?

A:  Heaps!  I am not a planner.  I am a write-by-the-set-of-your-panties kinda girl.  There have been moments where I will finish up a scene and be like WTF?  I did not see that coming!  Over the next few books, there are answers that start to help explain a few things for my characters, and I didn’t know that the connections ran so deeply.

Q.  Is that why you always include a danger element to your books?

A.  I write what I love to read.  I love books that take you on a journey, but where the characters face a challenge that adds an element of urgency to them and to the book.  As a reader, there is nothing I like more than getting that goose bump, hair rising on the back of my neck feeling as I join the characters within the book I am reading on the journey to solve their mystery.  I want to give that to my readers.

Q.  Do you have anything to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read you work?

A.  If you have read any of my books, thank you so very much!  It blows my mind that someone has actually read something that I wrote, but gosh I hope you enjoyed it!  Did you?  Please let me know, I find I suffer from a slight case of needy-nelly with my writing.  If you haven’t read my book, but you love erotic romance stories between strong men and an independent woman, where the path to their happily ever after can be a bumpy one, but there is always a happily ever after, and their love and laughter is real on every page, then you’ll find my books right up your alley!

Author bio:

Maia Dylan lives, loves and works in beautiful New Zealand.  She married her best friend and they have two adorable, but stubborn children who obviously take after their father.

Maia’s career has featured a lot of travel, and she has filled her time at airports and in the air with books, books and more books.  Her love of erotic paranormal romance has seen her amass a huge library.  She has been an avid reader and lover of ménage romances since she read her first book in this genre about three years ago.

Maia submitted her first ever manuscript to Siren Publishing in 2015.  She wasn’t at all confident that it would be accepted and in fact she was expecting a nicely worded email with a resounding no!  Much to her surprise less than two weeks later she had an acceptance and a signed contract in hand.  .
Outside of writing, Maia loves to eat, so she loves to cook!  Her herb garden is legendary, but she still has issues getting tomatoes to grow.  She’s been a performer for years, and has even sung on international stages, she would love to own a classic Ford Mustang one day and of course have the opportunity to race it on a race track without fear of a speeding ticket.

Although ultimately her dream is to be able to write full time on a sandy beach with a Mai Tai at hand, she is quite happy to fit her writing in when she can.  As long as someone reads her books, gets a laugh and maybe come to love her characters and much as she does, then she feels that she is living her dreams no matter what!
